Bio

General: The 2014-15 Argus Leader Elite Five First-Team Selection joins the DWU women’s basketball squad as a transfer from NCAA Division I South Dakota State University. At SDSU, Mieras played in 23 games and shot 50 percent from the field and free-throw line while finishing with 1.2 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. She was named 2016 Summit League Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Scored 1,158 points in her career, second most in school history … averaged 16.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game her senior season … named to the 2014-15 Class ‘AA’ All-State First Team … finalist for Miss South Dakota Basketball … two-time First Team All-League, All-District and All-Tournament selection … finished junior season with 11.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game … named Second Team All-State and Second Team All-Greater Dakota Conference team her junior year … averaged 12.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game during the 2012-13 State ‘AA’ Tournament her sophomore season … holds school records for most field goals and blocks in a career, season and game and field goal percentage in a season and game … helped the Knights to a 23-2 record and championship game appearance in 2015, and an 18-7 record and third-place finish her junior season … played AAU with the Dakota Schoolers … four-year letterwinner in volleyball and track … FCA Honor Athlete and State 4-H “Hometown Heroes” member.
