General: Taft joins the DWU women’s basketball team from Norris, S.D., where she competed in two all-star games in high school.

High School: Named 2015 Most Improved Player … LNI second-place tournament rebounder … shot 47.7 percent from the field her senior season … averaged 3.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game … named the One Percent Academic Honor Award … member of the ‘A’ honor roll ... four-year starter in volleyball and track and field for White River High School.

Personal: Born Oct. 20, 1998 … daughter of Daniel and Susan Taft … plans to major in athletic training.
