DWU to induct five members into Athletic Hall of Fame

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University athletic department will be inducting Josh Endres (’13), Amanda Hart (’14), Brock Seim (’07), Jalen Voss (’15) and Don and Barb Young (Contributors) into the DWU Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019 Saturday on the DWU campus.

Cheeseman, Carr, Osthus tabbed to All-American list

MITCHELL, S.D. – Following their second-consecutive trip to the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship Semifinals, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team landed three players on the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball All-American Teams. Kynedi Cheeseman (Alexandria, S.D.) was tabbed to the First Team, Sarah Carr (Huron, S.D.) was named Second Team and Rylie Osthus (De Smet, S.D.) was named to the Honorable Mention Team, the NAIA announced Thursday.

Tigers fall to Southeastern in double-overtime thriller

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Trailing by three points, Kynedi Cheeseman (Alexandria, S.D.) heaved up a half-court shot that bounced off the backboard as the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team’s season came to an end. DWU fell in double-overtime to Southeastern University (Fla.), 78-75 in the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship Semifinals, presented by Riverside Technologies and Seaboard Triumph Foods, Monday at the Tyson Events Center.

Tigers advance to Fab Four after dominating Taylor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – For the second-consecutive year, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team advanced to the Fab Four thanks to a balanced attack on offense and dominating defense. DWU defeated Taylor University (Ind.) 75-62 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship, presented by Riverside Technologies and Seaboard Triumph Foods, Saturday at the Tyson Events Center.

Osthus named Defensive Player of the Year, Cheeseman and Carr tabbed to GPAC First Team

MITCHELL, S.D. – A day removed from its fourth-consecutive Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship Game, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team was honored with three members being named to the All-GPAC Teams. Rylie Osthus (De Smet, S.D.) was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row, while juniors Kynedi Cheeseman (Alexandria, S.D.) and Sarah Carr (Huron, S.D.) were each tabbed to the All-GPAC First Team, it was announced by the conference Wednesday.
