General: Goertel joins the Tiger family from Hartford, S.D. where she was a setter for the West Central High School Trojans.

High School: She was a member of the Trojan volleyball team for four years and started three seasons … ended her career with 1,000 kills … took third at the ‘A’ state tournament … Region Champions in 2016, Pentagon Division Champions in 2016 and Lennox Tournament Champions in 2015 and 2016 … volleyball team MVP and Dak-12 All-Conference member three times … class ‘A’ All-Tournament Team and class ‘A’ All-State Honorable Mention … West Central J.O. Volleyball Club team participant … National Honor Society inductee … member of ‘A’ Honor Roll four years in a row … ran track for five seasons and played basketball for two.

Personal: Born April, 13 1999 … daughter of Michael and Jill Goertel … will major in nursing during her time at DWU.
