DWU MEN’S SOCCER EARNS THREE ALL-CONFERENCE PLAYERS

Mitchell, S.D. – The Great Plains Athletic Conference released the post season soccer awards and the DWU men's soccer team had two athletes make All-Conference. Vladislav Burkov and Vincent Wagner earned Honorable Mention honors in their first year as Tigers and Hunter Birozy made the Honorable Mention squad as well to wrap up his career as a Tiger.

Vladislav Burkov was named to the all-conference honorable mention team in his first season as a Tiger. Burkov posted two goals and two assists in his 15 starts. Known for his powerful leg, Burkov was a force to be reckoned with when taking penalty shots and free kicks. Vladislav helped lead the Tigers to a post-season appearance after being picked last in the conference pre-season polls.

Vincent Wagner, a true freshman, was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team as well. Wagner played a key role in the Tiger's front line, getting past defenders and distributing the ball to his teammates. Wagner's role helped push the Tigers in the post season.

Hunter Birozy, a senior goalkeeper for the Tigers, earned Honorable Mention. Birozy collected 84 saves in 14 starts for the Tigers, with a save percentage of 77.8%. He helped the Tigers secure a spot in the playoffs with his goalkeeper record of 5-7-1.
