
Mitchell, SD – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes on Friday.
The 2023 list features 1032 student-athletes, spread across 156 institutions, who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
Of these 1032 men's soccer players, Anthony Acosta, and Juan Gomez from the DWU men's soccer team earned themselves two spots on the list. Acosta is a junior center midfielder from Grand Island, Nebraska and Juan Gomez is a sophomore midfielder from Yopal, Columbia.
