Bio
Coach Dre Litsey enters his 2nd season at DWU as an assistant coach for the track and cross country teams, bringing a diverse background in coaching and athletics. Previously at Adelphi University, he assisted Coach Katie Rees and Coach Val (Count) Holt, contributing to practice planning, budgeting, and player development from 2022 to 2023. His coaching experience also includes a successful stint as throws coach at Onalaska Middle School in 2023, where his team achieved a conference title.
Prior to coaching, Dre competed in track and field at Coker University from 2016 to 2020, followed by Adelphi University from 2020 to 2022, where he notably set a men's heptathlon record at Coker. He earned a B.A. in Communications from Coker University and later completed a Master's in Sports Management at Adelphi University.
Raised between Landstuhl, Germany, and Kapolei, Hawai'i, Coach Lit's diverse upbringing contributes to his broad perspective and understanding of different cultures. Currently residing in Mitchell, South Dakota, Dre remains deeply committed to the development of student-athletes and the pursuit of athletic excellence.
