Becca Buchholz returned back to Dakota Wesleyan University in the summer of 2024. She graduated with her masters in athletic training and minor in psychology from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2023. She is a Highmore, SD native. She was employed with CNOS from 2023-2024 and served as an athletic trainer in Nebraska for the South Sioux City Cardinals. She also spent time working in the CNOS Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic. Buchholz had the opportunity to cover the NAIA National Women’s Basketball Tournament as well as the NAIA National Women’s Volleyball Tournament. 

 

Buchholz serves as the Athletic Training Clinical Education Coordinator in the Donna Starr Christen College of Healthcare Fitness & Science. She also is an athletic trainer that works with long term rehabilitations for the Dakota Wesleyan University student athletes. Buchholz began her Doctorate in Athletic Training from Florida International University in the Fall of 2024 and is expected to graduate in 2026. 

 

She is certified by the American Heart Association in CPR, a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA), and the South Dakota Athletic Trainers’ Assocation (SDATA). 

 

Buchholz resides in Mitchell, SD.
