REDFIELD, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team was limited to two hits in a loss to No. 10 University of Jamestown in a nonconference matchup played at a neutral site Wednesday in Redfield, S.D.

The Tigers were even with the Jimmies at two apiece in the second inning, but Jamestown scored 10 unanswered to take the single game 12-2 in eight innings. The loss drops DWU to 21-19 overall as the team prepares for the stretch run in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.

DWU got an RBI groundout from senior Dominic Sebastiani (San Francisco, Calif.) and an RBI sacrifice fly from redshirt junior Tyler Waddle (Huron, S.D.) to score one run in each of the first two innings. Waddle and senior Cole Wenande (Alexandria, S.D.) picked up the lone hits for DWU.

The loss went to senior Daniel Galvez (San Francisco, Calif.), who tossed two innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits, while walking two and striking out two.

The Tigers return to GPAC play against Morningside College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell, S.D. The doubleheader will also be Senior Day for the Tigers as the team is set to honor 14 senior players.
