TIGERS SPLIT WITH HASTINGS ON THE ROAD IN WINDY CONDITIONS

Mitchell Sand got the nod to start game one for the Tigers in the road matchup against the Hastings College Broncos. Seth Christiansen doubled down the left field line and advanced to third after Oscar Pravecek grounded out to the pitcher. With Christiansen in scoring position, Joseph Tharaldson would drive the ball to the second baseman, giving Seth enough time to sprint home for the first run.

Landon stole second and made it to third after Lane Darrow grounded out in the next at bat. Meyers, who had himself a game just three days prior, singled into left field and Ruesink came home for his first run of the day. Meyers scored the second run off a Christiansen RBI hit.
