TIGERS FALL TO NO.1 MORNINGSIDE UNIVERSITY 70-14

Sioux City, Iowa – Dakota Wesleyan football dropped a road matchup against No. 1 Morningside University by a score of 70-14. The Mustangs scored 42 of their 70 points in the first quarter alone, putting the game out of reach early. The Tigers had a solid game on the ground with Garrett Mandolfo rushing for a career-high 14 rushes, 86 yards and a touchdown. Jamin Arend added 62 yards rushing and caught a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, Jesus Herrera came down with an interception to go with his five tackles. Dakota Wesleyan finished with 161 yards on the ground compared to the Mustangs 283. The Tigers struggled on third down, only converting two of their fifteen chances. With the loss DWU falls to 1-9 on the season (1-8 in the GPAC) while the Mustangs stay unbeaten at a perfect 8-0.
