How It Happened
- The University of Jamestown got off to a quick start Wednesday evening in the Corn Palace, going up 9-4 early.
- Around the 10-minute mark of the first half, Ace Zorr made a layup that cut the Jimmies lead to nine points, 20-11.
- Throughout the first half of the game, the Tigers didn't have an answer for Jamestown and the three-pointers, as DWU could not close the gap.
- As we neared 75-seconds remaining in the first half, Dakota Wesleyan was trailing 34-22.
- At the break, the Jimmies led 37-24 after shooting 51.7% from the floor and 40% beyond the arc.
- The Tigers were held to shooting 32.1% from the field and 28.6% from deep.
- DWU started the second half with an 11-2 run closing the UJ lead to four points, 39-35, after three and a half minutes.
- Dakota Wesleyan kept Jamestown close as they continued to cut the lead to one point with 13:02 remaining in regulation, making it the closest the Tigers came to taking the lead.
- Following a DWU timeout with 12:08 left on the clock, Jamestown went on a short 5-0 run to push their lead back to 51-45.
- Dakota Wesleyan was unable to find an answer to Jamestown after that point as the Tigers fell at home 74-57.
