Mitchell, S.D. – The NAIA released the 2023 Daktronics men's basketball scholar-athlete honorees yesterday afternoon. Among the 542 total honorees for academic excellence in the classroom, seven Tiger men's basketball athletes received the honor.
Sophomores receiving the scholar-athlete honor are forward, Samuel Aslesen; guard, Brady Fritz; guard, Logan Graham; guard, Blaze Lubbers; guard, Chase Merrill; and guard, Tisyn Spader
A fifth-year senior and forward, Koln Oppold was also tabbed to the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach and sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
