Dakota Wesleyan dropped the final game of the regular season on the road at Jamestown, 73-94. Jakob Dobney led the Tigers with 16 points and Randy Rosenquist Jr. followed with 12 points of his own. Dakota Wesleyan falls to 9-11 in GPAC play but holds onto that eighth seed spot to make it to the post-season.

Recap –
The Tigers traveled to Jamestown, N.D. for the final conference game of the season. Jamestown jumped out to a quick 13-2 lead before the Tigers started to get points on the board. Kallan Herman scored four of the first seven for DWU early in the half with a pair of back door cuts. Samuel Aslesen made his first bucket with a straight away three-pointer to cut the Jimmie lead to ten. Aslesen would score three more layups with his a few pump fakes and some drop step post moves. The Tigers were only able to cut the lead to nine before they trailed by almost 18 points before the break. DWU had seven different Tigers score in the first half with Jakob Dobney and Aslesen leading with nine points apiece. Jamestown led at the break 50-34.
Dakota Wesleyan opened the second half with a little 8-3 run and forced the Jimmies to take a timeout. Blaze Lubbers and Dobney each drilled a triple to get the run started for the Tigers. Randy Rosenquist Jr. wanted in on the scoring action and put in three buckets inside the paint to cut the Jimmie's lead to nine. The Tigers run wouldn't last long as Jamestown would get their lead back out to 18 points under 11 minutes to play. The Jimmies took control late as they extended their lead to out to 29 points with less than four minutes remaining. The two squads rotated their starters out after the Tigers were unable to get any momentum late in the second half to mount a comeback. Dakota Wesleyan shot 40% from the floor in the contest with three Tigers scoring in double figures.

Dakota Wesleyan hangs onto the 8th place spot in the GPAC and will play in the post-season conference tournament. The Tigers will face off against the Red Raiders of Northwestern on Wednesday February 28th.
