Mitchell, S.D. – Honors for the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Golf Season have been announced. The All-Conference Team for 2023-24 was voted on by the coaches at the conclusion of the season and considers the entire season of results. The top ten are considered first team, with the next five (including ties) being named second team. An honorable mention list was also created based on minimum votes from the coaches.
Dakota Wesleyan men's golf team had three members named to the All-GPAC list with all three being honorable mentions in sophomore Peyton Bettcher, freshman Juan Florez, and freshman Connor Calahan.
Peyton Bettcher – Sophomore – Honorable Mention – (1x ALL-GPAC)
Averaged 78.9 per round in his second season with the Tigers. Recorded his best score of 73 at both the GPAC Championships and the DWU Spring Invite. Had two top five finishes, placing 3rd at the DWU Spring Invite and 5th at the Mount Marty Invite.
Juan Florez – Freshman – Honorable Mention – (1x ALL-GPAC)
In his freshman season, Florez averaged 76.8 per round. Earned All-Conference First Team Tournament Honors with his 9th place finish at the GPAC Championships. Recorded his best single round score of 71 at the Siouxland Invitational in his first collegiate round of golf. Finished 3rd at the DWU Spring Invite.
Connor Calahan – Freshman – Honorable Mention – (1x ALL-GPAC)
During his freshman season, Calahan averaged 78.1 per round for the Tigers. Earned All-Conference Tournament First Team Honors after his 6th place finish at the GPAC Championships. Shot his better single round score of 71 at the DWU Spring Invite. Best finish was fifth place at the Tatanka Fall Invite.
