Tigers Men's Golf Team Shines at  Mount Marty Fall Invite

Niobrara, Neb. –T he Tigers men's golf team concluded their meet at the Mount Marty Fall Invite with an impressive second-place finish, posting a total score of +642. After battling challenging conditions on day one with strong winds reaching 40-45 mph, the team rallied with a combined score of 330 on the first day and 312 on the second.

Individual Performance:
-Connor Calahan led the team with a strong performance, finishing in 4th place with a total score of 156, which equals a +12 over par.
-Peyton Bettcher secured 7th place with a total score of 160 (+16), showcasing consistent performance throughout the tournament.
-Drew Norberg also had a solid showing, placing 10th with the same score as Dakota Munger, but due to tiebreakers, he ended up in 10th position. Munger placed 9th overall. 
-Jackson Childs rounded out the team's efforts with a score of 176, placing 26th overall at +32.

Coach Meyerink reflected on the challenging conditions faced on the first day, sharing, "It was a battle all day long," highlighting the adveristy the Tigers had to face on the first day, but still stepping up to the challenge.

Looking ahead, the Tigers will travel to Sioux City to compete in the Mustang Derby hosted by Morningside University, eager to build on their momentum from the Mount Marty Fall Invite.
