Sioux City, Iowa- The men's golf team traveled to Briar Cliff University to take part in the Briar Cliff Match Play tournament. The two-day tournament consisted of individual one on one plays, with scores that tallied up to a combined team score. DWU played their individual match against Mount Marty.
Individual Highlights:
- Connor Calahan (Fr.) won his match 4 and 3 against Wout Kerkofs. Overall Callahan won 1 point out of 3.
- Dakota Munger (Fr.) came out on top, winning with two against the Ted Bengsten. Overall Munger won 1.5 points out of 3.
- Peyton Bettcher (Jr.) finished with a 1 and 2 record against Jimmie Cunningham. Making him the sole Tiger to not win his overall match play. Overall Bettcher won 1 point out of 3.
- Andrew Norberg (Fr.) secured a 4 and 2 victory over Hunter Bailey. Overall Norberg won 1 point out of 3.
- Jackson Childs (So.) won 2 up against Lane Tvedt. Overall Childs won 1 point out of 3.
As a team the Tigers' earned 5.5 points, placing them in 7th to end their play.
Tigers Look Ahead:
After two days of indiviual play, the men's golf team will rest for a few days before they travel to Rapid City, South Dakota to take part in the Hardrocker at Arrowhead invite. The tournament is hosted by South Dakota school of mines. It will take place at Arrowhead golf course.
