MITCHELL, S.D. – The defending NAIA National Champions, No. 8 Hastings College scored six goals in the first half of a Great Plains Athletic Conference game to defeat the Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team 7-1 on Saturday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.

 Gage Pemberton (Overland Park, Kan.) scored the only goal for the Tigers in the 69thminute. John Sutherland (Hartlepool, England), Liam LaFrance (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) and Connor Dodds (Durham, England) recorded shots on goal in the loss.

 Goalie Gaston Miteff (Berazategui, Argentina) had five saves in the net. Hastings outshot DWU 21-9.

 The Tigers (3-8, 0-4 GPAC) visit Morningside College for a GPAC matchup at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Sioux City, Iowa.
