Mustangs blank Tiger men

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team hit the road on Tuesday night and dropped a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup to Morningside College 5-0 in Sioux City, Iowa.

 At the end of the first half, the scoreboard was blank, but the Mustangs had other ideas as they tallied five goals in the second half. Morningside outshot the Tigers 21-2 at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

 Freshman Reece Weber (Brookings, S.D.) and Derek Brenner (Yankton, S.D.) tallied a shot on goal in the loss. Goalie Gaston Miteff (Berazategui, Argentina) had 10 saves.

 The Tigers (3-9, 0-5 GPAC) continue GPAC play, visiting Briar Cliff University at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.
