Men’s soccer grabs first win of season

MITCHELL, S.D. – Thanks to a late goal from Xayvion Harris (West Jordan, Utah.), the Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team pulled out a 1-0 victory over Bethany College Saturday from the Pepsi-Cola Complex in Mitchell, S.D.

 Goals came at a premium as neither team scored in the first half, with the score tied at 0-0. In the 82nd minute, Harris received a cross pass from Cesar Tabares (Phoenix, Ariz.) and netted the first goal of the regular season for the Tigers (1-2).

 Gaston Miteff (Berazategui, Argentina) finished the game with six saves. The Tigers finished with five shots compared to 12 shots by the Swedes in the match.

 The Tigers' season continues at York College at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in York, Neb.
