SEWARD, Neb – Managing just three shots in the match, the Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team fell 2-0, as the offensive attack was unable to find its rhythm versus Concordia University in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Saturday in Seward, Neb.
The Bulldogs (5-1, 3-0 GPAC) opened the match on the offensive attack finding the back of the net six minutes into the match. For the remainder of the half, both teams combined for just five shots as the defenses protected the net. The Tigers (2-3, 1-2 GPAC) nearly tied the game when Joel Sanchez (Salinas, Calif.) sent a header attempt right of the goal.

However, the Bulldogs netted an insurance goal in the 50th minute to extend the lead to 2-0. The Blue and Gray responded immediately as Jason Jattan (Union City, Calif.) nearly scored a minute later, though, the shot attempt was saved.
DWU struck another attempt on goal in the 69th minute as Carson Fox (Watertown, S.D.) had an excellent opportunity to narrow the deficit. However, his shot sailed left of the goal ending any attempt at a comeback for the Tigers.
