MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan men's soccer was unable to recover after trailing 3-0 in the first half versus Briar Cliff University on Wednesday from the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex. The Tigers played a strong second-half keeping the result the same as when they entered half time.

How it Happened
Briar Cliff attacks early offensively to start the match with a 1-0 advantage with a goal in the 4th minute. Hunter Birozy protected the net by tailing three saves before the 20th minute to keep DWU in the match.
Cesar Requena and Isaias Pio received good looks to start the Tigers attack in the 31st and 33rd minute but comes out empty as the Chargers record two more goals before the end of the first period.
Neither team finds the back of the net for the remainder of the match as Briar Cliff secures the 3-0 victory. DWU's goalkeeper, Hunter Birozy, stood tall in the net recording nine saves for the Tigers.
