How it Happened

Dakota Wesleyan begins the matchup offensively strong with shots on goal from Ignacio Iglesias and Colin Burke in the eighth and 15th minute, but both opportunities were saved by the Saints goalkeeper. Though the shots on goal didn't find the back of the net, the matchup sees its first goal in the 41st minute as Ignacio Iglesias find the back of the net for the 1-0 lead by halftime.

To begin the second period, Presentation seeks to gain the offensive attack by scoring the equalizer in the 60th minute to neutralize the match at 1-1. The Tigers quickly gain their offensive groove back with Armando Diaz, Michael Kelly, and Raul Aparicio scoring back-to-back-to-back goals to take the lead once again by 4-1.

Even with the three-goal lead, the Tigers keep attacking offensively. In the 88th minute, Isaias Pio finds the back of the net to bring DWU to their second straight victory with a score of 5-1. Dakota Wesleyan cruises to the victory, outnumbering Presentation with 18 shots and nine shots on goal.

Iglesias leads DWU with five shots and three shots on goal, as Pio and Cesar Requena follow with two shots in the matchup. Dakota Wesleyans defensive unit and starting goalkeeper, Federico Dusini, limits Presentation to four shots on goal, as Dusini records three saves.
