How it Happened
Midland begins the match offensively strong with the first goal of the game in the fifth minute for the early 1-0 lead. In attempt to get in the game, Garrett Hanna gets a good look at the net for the Tigers in the 20th minute but was saved by the opposing goalkeeper. The Warriors gets another attempt from a corner kick to up their lead to 2-0 by the end of the first period.
Looking to keep their offensive attack in the second period, Midland puts three shots on goal to give starting goalkeeper, Hunter Birozy, three saves within the 49th minute. Cesar Requena responds with an attempt on goal in the 56th minute but was saved. After many fouls and offside calls, Midland University ultimately earns the 2-0 home victory with 20 shots and 11 shots on goal.
The starting goalkeeper, Hunter Birozy, protects the net for the Tigers to record nine saves within the match. Meanwhile, Requena and Hanna both looked to see the back of the net, as the Tigers totals three shots and two shots on goal in the match.
