How it Happened
Within the first minutes of kickoff, Jamestown scores the first goal of the game for the early 1-0 lead. Dakota Wesleyan receives good scoring chances in the 13th, 20th, and 21st minute, but all shot attempts would be saved. Seconds following, the Jimmies extends their lead in the 26th minute as the score remains 2-0 at the end of the first half.
In the second half, DWU looks to gain the offensive momentum as Michael Kelly gets a good look on goal, but the shot misses high. After more back-and-forth action, Grant Pierce receives a scoring chance in the 71st minute, but misses left from the goal.
Jamestown adds a pair of goals to their lead in the 87th and 89th minute for the 4-0 victory.
