How it Happened
Morningside looks to take the early offensive momentum but is quickly stopped in the 9th minute from DWU starting goalkeeper, Federico Dusini, with a great save from the feet. Minutes following, the Tigers decide to take that offensive momentum, as Roberto Gerardo Romero finds the back of the net in the 12th minute to get the first goal in the game.
The Mustangs continue to push their offensive unit as Dusini recorded eight saves in the first period alone, meanwhile the Tigers continue to lead 1-0 heading into halftime.
Beginning the second period, Morningside looks to keep the same momentum with multiple corner kicks and shots on goal, which were all saved by Dusini. In the 58th minute, Cesar Requena received a pass from Grant Pierce for an opportunity on goal but misses right of the goal.
Morningside is able to get on the scoreboard in the 79th minute to keep the end of matchup a neutral score of 1-1. In senior day fashion, all seniors were called off in the last minutes of the game for the final time.
