THREE TIGER MEN’S SOCCER STUDENT-ATHLETES TABBED AS NAIA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES

Mitchell, S.D. – The NAIA announced the 2022 Daktronics men's soccer scholar-athlete nominees. Among the nearly 1,000 men soccer student-athletes were three Tiger men's soccer players of sophomore and above academically.

Of the three men's soccer student-athletes tabbed to the list were, sophomore center midfielder from Grand Island, Nebraska, Anthony Acosta; junior midfielder from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lucas Paixao; and junior left back from Sioux Falls, S.D., Ryan Mix.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach and sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
