Mitchell, S.D. – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced the 2023 men's soccer preseason coaches' poll this morning. Coaches among the conference picked the Tigers to finish 12th in the conference with 18 points.
DWU men's soccer finished last season with a 3-12-2 overall record and an 2-8-1 record in GPAC play. The Tigers picked up conference wins against at the time GPAC school Presentation College (5-1) and Doane (3-0).
The returning GPAC regular season and tournament champion Broncos of Hastings totaled 118 points and eight first place votes to top the list. Concordia was picked second with 110 points and three first place votes. Midland was picked third with 89 points and one first place vote as well to round off the top three for the GPAC. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

The Tiger men's soccer opens their 2023 season with back-to-back home non-conference games against Western Iowa Technical CC August 21 and Trinity Bible August 26. The Tigers first GPAC matchup is at Hastings September 16.
