Tigers Rally to Outscore Dordt

Sioux Center, Iowa-- Dakota Wesleyan secured a 2-0 victory over Dordt in a match that displayed their strengths on both offense and defense. The game began with a steady pace as both teams looked to establish control. In the first half, Dakota Wesleyan made their move just before halftime as in the 45th minute, Luis Waeschle put the first points on the board. Scoring a goal to shift the games momentum to Tigers right before break. The assist came from Vladislav Burkov. This moment not only shifted the momentum in favor of Dakota Wesleyan but also provided them with an important edge as they headed into the break with a 1-0 lead.

As the second half continued, Dordt aimed to equalize, looking for opportunities to break through and apply pressure to Dakota Wesleyan's defense. However, Dakota Wesleyan's backline was able to hold the defenders off as the limited Dordt's scoring chances. Despite their best efforts, Dordt was only able to find the Tigers net once. 

The turning point in the game came in the 77th minute when Dakota Wesleyan extended their lead to 2-1. Colton Douglas scored the second goal, receiving a well-timed assist from Venas Stani. This goal not only solidified Dakota Wesleyan's advantage but also gave them the confidence to manage the final minutes of the match. An opportunity ble to focus on maintaining possession and controlling the pace of the game as they approached the final whistle.

An Away game on October 30 at 7:30p.m. The win against the Defenders win serves as a positive reinforcement as Dordt was a slot above the Tigers in the conference standings. The game against Morningside will be the last regular season game for the Tigers.
