SHANKS BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD IN 800m AT COACH RICHARD ALSUP OPEN

Maryville, MO. – The Dakota Wesleyan track and field team saw several new personal bests as well as a SCHOOL RECORD broken! Hunter Shanks broke the school record in the 800m race this afternoon and was .06 seconds shy of hitting the National "A" standard to prequalify for the national meet (Shanks hit the "B" mark earlier this season). Samantha Kludt and Caleb Sayler each doubled up on setting new personal bests at the meet also.

"It was a great day with multiple personal bests and school record performances. Coming back from break can put a lot of pressure on athletes to perform so it was nice to shed that."
