USD ALUMNI MEET DAY 2 RECAP: MAGNUSON BREAKS SHOT PUT RECORD, AGAIN!

Vermillion, S.D. –

The Tigers had another strong day at the Dakota Dome, seeing another school record broken and several new personal bests. Abby Magnuson, in her second meet of the season, broke the shot-put record again. Magnuson broke the record at the SDSU meet in early December. Nate Rupprecht set a new personal best in the men's heptathlon as well.

Women –

Abby Magnuson – Shot Put 2nd place 14.41m (SCHOOL RECORD & "A" STANDARD)

Samantha Kludt – Shot Put 9.59m (Indoor PR)

Hailey Oswald – 400m 5th place 1:05.79 (Indoor PR)

Men –

Nate Rupprecht – Heptathlon 4200 (Indoor PR)

Mikey Hart – 60m Finals 7.28 (Indoor PR)

Barrett Nielsen – 60m Hurdles 9.30 (Indoor PR)

Head Coach Matt Rosado's Thought's –

"The weekend was great for us we had some big performances against some D-1 and D-2 competition. Proud of the effort we had, the heart we showed as we continued to grow. Excited for next weekend as we welcome back our own alumni back to campus and continue to show our growth."

Up Next for the Tigers –

The Tigers will be in Mitchell, S.D. as they host the DWU Alumni Meet. The first event will start at 11:00 a.m.
