Mitchell, S.D.- The Dakota Wesleyan Tigers welcomed their alums back home today. As some alums took part in the meet to compete, others enjoyed watching and cheering.
Track Events:
Sprints-
- Barrett Nielsen (Sr.) ran in the 400m race posting a time of 52.69. A 2 second PR for the senior in his first one of the season.
- Mikey Hart (Jr.) keeps on deliviering strong performances as he ran a 7.09 in the 60m. Qualifying him for the meet finals.
- Sean DeBlieck (Fr.) ran in the 60 meter, moving the needle in his times by running a 7.23. Qualifying for his first indoor finals and becoming # 8 in DWU's indoor top-ten list.
- Trevor Sladky (Fr.) competed in the 60 meter, running a PR of 7.37. A .10 second PR for the season.
- Gage Hohn (Fr.) ran in the 400m race. Also hitting a PR of 54.67.
- Ian Chrisler (Fr.) ran in the 400m and 200m. In the 400m he ran a season best of 54.97 and a 24.43 in the 200m.
Distance-
- Gage Dietterle (So.) competed in the 1500m (mile) and hit a PR of 4:58.
- Zachary Robinson (Fr.) ran in the 1500m too and ran a time of 5:27.
Jumps-
- Sean DeBlieck (Fr.) jumped in the long jump with a 5.63m.
- A'Johntez Moore (Fr.) return to the triple and started where he left off by jumping a 13.41m jump that places him as #9 in the triple jump indoor top-ten list.
- Trevor Sladky (Fr.), jumped a 6.24m to end his day.
- Gage Hohn (Fr.) took part in the high jump. Clearing 1.79m. A college PR for the freshman.
- Carter Harris (Fr.) vaulted a 4.01m and attempted the school record of 4.31. Narrowly missing it. He looks to attempt it again in the future.
Throws-
- Christian Hanna (Sr.) threw a 11.28m in shot-put. Hanna threw his first weight throw in college, marking a 8.76.
- Ethan Watson (Fr.) the freshman threw in shot put and the weight throw. For shot he placed 1st and hit a PR of 15.93m. In weight he threw a 13.27m.
Looking Ahead-
The Tigers return next week on Friday to compete at the Mt.Marty Last Chance Invite. A week before GPAC Conferences.
