General: Heyd joins the Tiger track team for the 2020-21 season from LaMoure, North Dakota.

High School: His best mark in the 400-meter dash was 51.1 seconds at the SE Conference Meet where he took first place ... his second best time was in 51.62 seconds at the Lisbon Invitational where he took second place ... also played basketball and football.

Personal: Born Oct. 15, 2001 ... son of David and Kate Heyd ... plans to major in christian leadership.
