
Kansas City, MO – The DWU men's wrestling team went 2 and 1 at the Avila Duals this morning. The Tigers defeated Avila University 26-22 and Oklahoma Wesleyan University 37-17 and fell to D-2 opponent Central Missouri University 37-10. Several Tigers picked up at least two wins on the day.

The Tigers picked up two big wins on the road this weekend. DWU traveled to Avila University to compete in three duals down in Kansas City. The Tigers faced off against D-2 opponent Central Missouri University where the Tigers struggled to find points. Tyson Johnson and Temka Natsagdorj were the only Tigers to pick up wins. In their second dual of the day, DWU faced Avila University. After two Tigers were pinned, DWU won 5 straight face offs and were up 23-22 after nine. Trevion Sample came in clutch to give DWU the win as he defeated his opponent. The final dual of the day the Tigers swiftly defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan University 37-17.
