TIGERS DROP A HEART BREAKER TO BRIAR CLIFF, 24-23

Sioux City, Iowa –

Dakota Wesleyan men's wrestling fall in a close one against the Chargers of Briar Cliff on the road, 24-23. Five Tigers put points on the board in the dual. As the match drew to the final face off, Trevion Sample won his match to tie up the score at 23-23 after going into overtime. Briar Cliff won the dual via criteria.

Tie Breaker: Briar Cliff over DWU, BC wins 24-23

The Tigers dropped three of their first four matches to find themselves down 14-6. Tyson Johnson put up 13 points over his Charger opponent and gave the Tigers four points. Kaleb Bigelow and Lane Miller followed up with two technical fall victories to grab the lead 20-14. Briar Cliff put up two wins and had the lead 23-20. Trevion Sample knotted it up at 23-23 in the last face-off of the evening in overtime. The victor was decided via criteria and Briar Cliff came out on top to hand DWU their first loss of the season.
