
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's and women's cross-country teams finished its' season at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships as the men finished in ninth and the women took 10th Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
On the men's side, Wyatt Baldauf (Seneca, Ill.) led the team as he finished in 27:23 minutes. Just seconds behind him was Justin Sorensen (Vermillion, S.D.) who finished in 27:27. Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) tallied a time of 28:39, while Zach Fieber (Goodwin, S.D.) finished in 29:45. Layne Lewis (Plankinton, S.D.) tacked on a time of 32:33 and Spens Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) rounded out the men's side as he finished in 32:40.
On the women's side, senior Mckenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) paced the Tigers with a time of 20:40. Samantha Shoultz (Huron, S.D.) was second on the team as she crossed the finish line in 21:38 and Annika Vermeulen (Mitchell, S.D.) finished in 21:43. Savanah Schmidt (Plankinton, S.D.) finished in 21:56 and Ashley Pruss (Tea, S.D.) came in 23:05.
Macey Bohl (Garretson, S.D.) and Baylee Field (Fremont, Neb.) rounded out the women's side as they finished in 24:27 and 24:45, respectively.
