Jamestown, N.D. - Over the weekend, the freshman Tigers showcased their talent at the Jimmie Invite, with strong performances from Landen Johnson, Ian Chrisler, and Zach Robinson.
8K Results:
- Landen Johnson: Led the team with a remarkable finish of 29:59, achieving a 1:36 personal record** in just his second 8K race.
- Ian Chrisler: Competing in his first collegiate meet, clocked in at 31:14, showing promise for future races.
- Zach Robinson: ade significant strides as well, shaving off 4:50 from his previous best to finish at 32:47.
The trio formed a solid pack, finishing closely together and demonstrating the potential for continued improvement as the season progresses.
Coaches' Thoughts:
"We had some solid improvements on the men's side. Landen and Zach had big PRs, and Ian had a solid cross country debut. We still aren't where we'd like to be, but you can never be disappointed in progress."
Up Next For The Tigers:
Men's cross will be on the road again in two weeks as they will compete in the Flaming Tiger NAIA Classic. The meet will be located in Ashland, Nebraska on Saturday, October 26.
The Tigers look to gain more experience with more races to come.
