Sioux Center, Iowa –

In game one the Tigers erased a 7-4 deficit in the fifth inning by posting 10 runs in the bottom half with DWU being the home team. Jordyn Blogg got the fireworks started with her first home run of the season on her two-run shot to tie it at 7-7. Seven batters and three runs later, Mckinnely Mull really put some distance between them and the Bobcats with her grand slam home run that made it 14-7. DWU was unable to get another run in to get kick in the eight runs after five inning rule so the score sat at 14-7 heading to the sixth.

Keirstyn Krcil came on in relief and faced some trouble with runners on but was able to induce a fly out to end any threat and leave it a seven-run game. In the bottom half the Tigers wasted no time to complete the comeback run rule with Peyton Bagley leading off the inning with a triple and a couple pitches later was brought home by Brianna Dawson single.

Dakota Wesleyan recorded a staggering 17 hits in the contest, with seven coming in the fifth inning alone. Mull led with her three-hit effort which was highlighted by the grand slam, followed by Alyssa Burke with three hits and Bagley with two and four runs scored. Blogg finished the game going 1 for 2 with that game tying home run. In the circle Sophie Wietzema picked up her first collegiate win going 1.1 innings in relief.

In game two DWU kept the bats rolling with two runs in the first inning. The Tigers did it all with two outs, as the first two hitters were retired, but then strung four straight singles to plate the two runs. Krcil got the nod in game two after closing out the final inning in game on and had her stuff early posting three zero's on the scoreboard in the first three innings and only allowing one hit while punching out two Trojans. The Tigers tacked on one more in the fourth and two innings later got a big blast from Nora Nelson who sent her first career home run over the center field fence to push DWU lead to 5-0. Krcil would continue her dominance on the mount keeping the Trojans off the scoreboard for her third complete game win and second shutout of the season. Krcil was all over the zone, needing just 87 pitches to retire the 21 batters and didn't issue a single walk. DWU with the two wins moves to 5-6 on the season and has now won three in a row.
