Melbourne, Fla. – Dakota Wesleyan softball earned a pair of wins on day three of their Florida trip. They opened the day with a game one 6-0 win against Lawrence Tech followed by another 3-0 shutout win against Cleary. Game one had Alyssa Burke score three runs which made her the all-time leader in DWU history in runs with 103. In the circle Keirstyn Krcil earned her third complete game shutout of the season. Game two saw another complete game shutout this time from freshman Ivy Woolwine which was her first of her career. Reagan Grossi provided most of the offense with her 2-RBI double in the second. Dakota Wesleyan now improved to 7-10 on the season and the Tiger staff has held their opponents scoreless for 15 straight innings.

In game one the Tigers earned their first win on their Florida spring break trip with a 6-0 shutout win over Lawrence Tech. Keirstyn Krcil earned her fourth win of the season in her third complete game shutout of the season. Krcil was in complete control from start to finish, mixing speeds and being all around the zone to keep the Blue Devils hitters off balanced. Krcil in her last five starts has a 1.95 era while going 3-1 during that span. LTU only had one runner that got into scoring position for the entirety of the game. On the offensive side, Alyssa Burke was showcasing her speed and talent all game. The senior outfielder went 2 for 4 with three runs scored and three stolen bases in the contest. Burke's third run scored game her 103 career runs which is now the DWU all-time record. Burke also owns the school record for career stolen bases which currently sits at 84. Jaden Warner and Nora Nelson also both collected two hits in the contest to contribute to the Tigers six runs. Nelson has now recorded two hits in three straight games for a .600 batting average over that span.

Game two saw a similar effort in the circle but this time from freshman Ivy Woolwine who completed her first career complete game shutout in the 3-0 win over Cleary. Woolwine command was on point as the freshman pitcher only issued one walk and four base hits over the seven innings of work. The Cougars were only able to get two runners on second base against Woolwine and never had a runner reach third base. Ivy is now 2-4 on the season for the Tigers. On the offensive side the Tigers struggled to get much going but got a huge timely hit from Reagan Grossi in the second who drove in two with her double. The only other run the Tigers got across to score was solely from the legs of Burke who stole second and third and ended up scoring on a passed ball. Dakota Wesleyan finished the day 2-0, while outscoring their opponents 9-0 during the 14 innings. The Tiger staff has now kept their opponents off the scoreboard in the last 15 innings.
