Recap –

The Tigers and Jimmies both opened the game with a couple turnovers and the first official shot not going up until one minute into the quarter when Jada Campbell got the Tigers on the board early with a hook shot on the base line. Morgan Edelman pushed the lead to 4-0 after a second chance rebound from Jada Campbell setting up Edelman's easy lay in. UJ recorded their first field goal three minutes into the quarter showing the tight defense from the Tigers. Jada Campbell added two free throws that has been an obvious trait Campbell has worked on from last season to this year to increase the Tigers lead to 6-2. Jamestown tied it back up halfway through the quarter after a three-pointer and layup.

With 1:45 left in the quarter the Tigers would find themselves up 14-11 thanks to efficient shooting from the free throw line. DWU went cold in the closing minute with the Jimmies adding a three with the clock winding down for a 14-14 score after one. Tigers went 6 for 6 at the free throw line in the quarter.

Just like in the first quarter, Jada Campbell got the scoring going early for the Tigers to retake the lead with another post move bucket. Both teams would trade baskets for an 18-18 knotted up score with 6:30 left in the half. Offenses would continue to struggle with both sides not recording a point until the 3:43 mark when who else but Jada Campbell found the bottom of the net to give the Tigers a narrow two-point lead. Tigers would find themselves up 29-23 with 1:00 left. Campbell would score eight of DWU's 10 points during the run. Like the first half has shown the Jimmies respond and go on a 5-0 run to close out the half for a 29-28 halftime Tiger lead.

Campbell would keep the trend going with the first bucket of the third quarter for the Tigers. Both teams would go back and forth like they had all game trading bucket for bucket resulting in a 39-38 lead for the Jimmies halfway through the third quarter. Jamestown would go on their biggest run of the game to pull away from the Tigers 54-43 with 1:30 left. DWU answered with a 5-0 run to close the quarter and narrow the lead to 6 heading to the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter anytime the Tigers got a bucket to fall the Jimmies answered right back keeping the margin between five and eight the entire quarter resulting in a final 71-64 loss for the Tigers. DWU would fail to get anything going from beyond the arc going 0 for 5 in the game, compared to the Jimmies leaning heavy on their deep range shots going 8 for 24 in the contest. Both squads finished shooting 42.4% from the field while the Tigers outrebounded the Jimmies 36-34. DWU would go 14-17 from the charity stripe while UJ went a perfect 9-9.
