Sioux City, Iowa – Dakota Wesleyan women's basketball team fell on the road 72-61 against Morningside. The Tigers and Mustangs have now split the season series with DWU getting the win in the first game 70-65. DWU struggled early with turnover issues and breaking the Mustang press. On the offensive end of the floor, the Tigers got good looks but struggled to find the bottom of the net, shooting just 31.8% from the floor. Dakota Wesleyan, a typically low turnover squad committed 20 turnovers on the night which resulted in 15 points for MU. Despite outscoring the Mustangs 37-31 in the second half the Tigers had dug too much of a hole in the first half resulting in the 72-61 final. Taliyah Hayes led Dakota Wesleyan in scoring for a second straight game with her 17 points. Morgan Edelman turned another high rebound performance with her 11 boards. Shalayne Nagel had eight points and eight boards.
