
Jamestown, N.D. – Dakota Wesleyan fell on the road 73-67 to Jamestown in the season finale. The Tigers shooting struggles continued shooting under 40% from the field and just 21% from beyond the arc. DWU got good looks and plenty of second chance looks throughout the contest, dominating the rebounding battle 43-27 with 16 of the 43 coming on the offensive glass, but just couldn't get shots to fall. The Tigers committed 13 turnovers in the game while forcing 10 UJ. Emma Yost led with her 13 points, followed by Taliyah Hayes and Rylee Rosenquist with 12 each. Morgan Edelman nearly missed another double-double with her 11 points and eight rebounds. The Tigers faced an eight-point deficit to start the fourth quarter but only needed three minutes to tie it up at 57 all. The Jimmies found their rhythm again and kept the Tigers at arm's length for the remainder of the contest. Kia Tower for Jamestown was a problem all day for DWU as she scored a career-high 30 points in the game. The Tigers efficiency at the free throw line kept the game close with them going 13-15 (86.7%). Dakota Wesleyan will now be the number five seed in the GPAC tournament and will travel to Northwestern College to take on the Red Raiders who is the four seed.
