Mitchell, S.D. -- The Dakota Wesleyan women's basketball team is ready for their upcoming 2024-25 season, having recieved 357 votes in the NAIA's national coach's preseason poll, which places them 9th in the nation. This recognition is a nod to their hard work and dedication as they look to build on last year's success.
In the previous season, the Tigers had an overall record of 22-11. Their journey made a run to the NAIA WBB Round of 16 where they closely fell to Cumberland University with a final score of 80-87.
As the season approaches, the Tigers have also been ranked 3rd in the preseason conference polls. With a mix of returning players and new talent, the coaching staff is optimistic about their potential. Key players are expected to step up, showcasing their skills and leadership on the court. The team's upcoming schedule is full of competitive games, and with their eyes set on further advancing in the NAIA tournament fans, alumni, and the Dakota Wesleyan community are rallying behind the Tigers with their excitement to see how they will perform on two of the most recognized stages in the NAIA.
