DUBUQUE, IOWA – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team continues to try to find itself on offense, dropping a third straight shutout on Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa.
The Tigers fell to Huntington University 3-0 in the first of two weekend games. DWU allowed two goals in quick succession against the Foresters and was unable to break through on offense in the end.
The first goal for Huntington came in the 32nd minute from Samantha McCoy with the assist from Autumn Koomler. The second tally came less than a minute later from Koomler on an assist from Millie Adams, putting the Tigers in a 2-0 hole heading into the locker room.
Huntington expanded its lead early in the second half to secure the win on an unassisted goal from Olivia Knispel.
DWU was outshot 28-7. Freshmen Gemini Wesley (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Brooke Forsman (Sioux Falls, S.D.) each led the Tigers with two shots on goal.
DWU looks for their first win of the season against Clarke University at 11 a.m. Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa.
