HASTINGS, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team was unable to find any offensive firepower in a Great Plains Athletic Conference game as the No. 10 Hastings College Broncos defeated the Tigers 7-0 on Saturday in Hastings, Neb.
The Broncos jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and was able to put the Tigers away with four more goals in the second half.
Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Skylar Forgey (Colome, S.D.) tallied a shot on goal in the loss. Senior Kira Miller (Rock Springs, Wyo.) recorded 10 saves in the net. Hastings outshot DWU 32-2.
The Tigers (1-13-1, 1-6-1 GPAC) host Dordt College for a GPAC contest at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell, S.D.
