DWU women shutout Grace

OMAHA, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team hit the road for the first time this season as they took on Grace University at Bergquist Stadium in Omaha, Neb.

 The Tigers held the Royals scoreless as freshman Hannah Bowes (Omaha, Neb.) recorded a shutout in the goal for DWU, as the Tiger went on to defeat Grace, 2-0.

 Junior Brittany Forsman (Sioux Falls, S.D.) put the Tigers on the board in the 26th minute as DWU scored in each period of the contest. In the 77th minute, Gemini Wesley (Sioux Falls, S.D.) found the net to put the game out of reach for Grace.

 DWU outshout Grace 21-7, while Bowes tallied four saves in the net. Freshman Courtney Mascarenas (Pueblo, Colo.) and junior Alexandria Jacobs (Niles, Calif.) added four shots on goal in the win.

 The Tigers (3-0) open Great Plains Athletic Conference play as they hit the road to take on in-state rival Mount Marty College at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Yankton, S.D.
