OMAHA, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team hit the road on Tuesday, taking on College of Saint Mary in a Great Plains Athletic Conference battle in Omaha, Neb. The Flames scored twice in the first half to top the Tigers 2-1.
The Flames managed to put the first goal of the game on the scoreboard. However, Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) scored in the 32nd minute off an assist from Gemini Wesley (Sioux Falls, S.D.). CSM added another goal in the 36th minute, keeping the game out of reach for DWU.
Jocelyn Behm (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Weidler tallied a shot on goal in the loss. Freshman Hannah Bowes (Omaha, Neb.) tallied nine saves in the net.
The Tigers (5-4, 0-2 GPAC) continue conference play, visiting Dordt College at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
