MITCHELL, S.D. – After allowing three goals in the first half, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team was unable to muster any offense on Saturday, dropping a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup to No. 20 Hastings College, 4-0 at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.
The Broncos scored early, including a goal in the ninth minute, 23rd minute and 26th minute. Hastings also tacked on a goal in the latter portion of the game, in the 87th minute.
Sophomore Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) recorded two shots on goal, while Brittany Forsman (Sioux Falls, S.D.) added two shots in the loss.
Freshman Hannah Bowes (Omaha, Neb.) tallied 14 saves in the net. Hastings outshot the Tigers 30-9.
The Tigers (5-7, 0-5 GPAC) continue conference play, visiting Morningside College at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Sioux City, Iowa.
