Warriors down DWU on Senior Night
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team returned home for Senior Night as they took on Great Plains Athletic Conference foe, No. 18 Midland University, but fell 5-0 Saturday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.

The Warriors (11-2-2, 5-1-2 GPAC) wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard as they netted their first goal of the game in the first minute. Minutes later they added a second goal that would carry them into the halftime break with a 2-0 lead.

The Tigers (5-10, 0-8 GPAC) tried to find some rhythm to their offense in the second half but came up short as they allowed three goals in the second period.

Jocelyn Behm (Sioux Falls, S.D.), Gemini Wesley (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Stephanie Banvelos (Hayward, Calif.) notched two shots each, while Hannah Bowes (Omaha, Neb.) recorded 10 saves on the night.

 Midland outshot the Tigers 25-9.

The Tigers return to action against Mount Marty College at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.
