OMAHA, Neb. – In their second road contest of the week, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team took on the College of Saint Mary in a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup and lost, 1-0 Saturday in Omaha, Neb.
The Flames (1-8-1, 1-2-1 GPAC) jumped on the scoreboard in the opening minutes of the game to take an early 1-0 lead.
The Tigers' (3-5, 1-2 GPAC) offense was unable to get going in the contest as they dropped the road matchup, 1-0.
Cierra Asmann (Castle Rock, Colo.) and Alexandria Jacobs (Niles, Calif.) tallied a shot and a shot on goal apiece, while four other Tigers finished with a shot in the game. Hannah Bowes (Omaha, Neb.) recorded eight saves in the net for DWU.
The Tigers return home to take on (RV) University of Jamestown at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.
